At the outset of the steel helmet production, different tests were jointly undertaken in an effort to reinforce the protective quality of the model 15. Apart from the official produced helmets, one often sees these M15-look-alikes. They are definitely a French production, but not offically issued. This type was probably made for commercial and / or export issue. They have two holes in the bowl for ventilation (10mm and 18mm diametre), a leatherette liner with 8 leaves, and thin chin strap rings. Most of them have no slots for a badge.  It is noteworthy due to the absence of the set flange ring. The flair butt is folded inwards.

Zu Beginn der Stahlhelmproduktion wurden verschiedene Tests gemeinsam durchgeführt, um die Schutzqualität des Modells 15 zu verstärken. Abgesehen von den offiziell produzierten Helmen sieht man diese M15-Doppelgänger oft. Sie sind definitiv eine französische Produktion, aber nicht offiziell ausgestellt. Dieser Typ wurde wahrscheinlich für Handels- und / oder Exportzwecke hergestellt. Sie haben zwei Belüftungslöcher in der Schale (10 mm und 18 mm Durchmesser), ein Kunstlederfutter mit 8 Blättern und dünne Kinnriemenringe. Die meisten von ihnen haben keine Slots für ein Abzeichen.  Bemerkenswert ist das Fehlen des eingestellten Flanschrings. Der Flair Po ist nach innen gefaltet.

Ils ont deux trous dans le bol pour la ventilation (diamètre 10 mm et 18 mm), une doublure en similicuir à 8 feuilles et de fins anneaux de jugulaire. La plupart d'entre eux n'ont pas de fentes pour un badge. Il est remarquable en raison de l'absence de la bague de bride sertie. La crosse flair est repliée vers l'intérieur.
