This is a superb example of a French NCO Rifleman Infantry Sword Epée, Model 1884 that dates from the World War I Era. It is mounted with a lovely straight, multi-fullered blade which measures 34 1/4 inches in length that remains in near mint condition. The exceptionally nice Alloy guard is adorned with the Infantry Bugle Corps emblem on the front face and features a back folding guard that remains in excellent locking condition. The beautiful wire wrapped hilt remains very nice as well with its wire all securely in place. The plated metal scabbard has light flaking to the plating with one very tiny ding near the drag, nevertheless also remains in very nice serviceable condition. Overall measuring 41 inches in length.
