    Description

    This bayonet was manufactured for the French "Gras" infantry rifle from 1874 to 1885 and is the last of the sword type bayonets. The blade has multiple markings and inspection mark with serial number. There are no visible markings on the scabbard. Inscribed on top of blade:  "Mre d' Armes de St Etienne Juillet".  Thank you for looking.
