Profile: Malaysia’s King Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar

BEIJING, Sept. 18 (Xinhua) — At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Malaysia’s King Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar will pay a state visit to China from Sept. 19 to 22.
Born in November 1958, King Sultan Ibrahim became the Sultan of Johor in January 2010 and assumed the role of the 17th king of Malaysia in January 2024.
This is King Sultan Ibrahim’s first state visit to China. ■
